Teacher Appreciation Week

Monday, 5/9, is the beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week at Running Springs and will begin with a note of appreciation from your child.  A short hand written note is perfect for this!

Tuesday – Snack day (fruit…ANY kind except for oranges and grapefruit(allergic)

-cut veggies like carrots, celery, sugar snap peas, etc.

-Favorite cookies are Biscoff brand cookies,  also any type of sugar, spice, snickerdoodle, oatmeal raisin, lemon…anything with frosting:-)

-Puffy Cheetos, Salt and Vinegar chips

Wednesday – Flower from the garden (bring to the classroom) & desserts for the luncheon (dropped off in the MPR after 10:30 or in the office earlier, LABELED “luncheon”)

 Thursday – School Supply (Staplers

-Sharpees- both black and multi-colors

-Rulers-with both cm/in on them,

-Whiteboard markers-all colors (EXPO is the best because it doesn’t stain the boards as much)


-Colored ink pens

-tape- all kinds (scotch, masking, duct, etc.)

-colored clip boards

-colored printer paper

Friday – Gift Card day.  Please bring these in by Wednesday if possible so we can get the arrangement made for presentation on Friday morning. Have your child look for the marked envelope in the classroom.

Secret Valentines

The class will be doing a secret Valentine exchange to celebrate the upcoming holiday.  Stay tuned for details coming home from Ms. Meehan.



Winter Holiday Party


6th Grade Winter Holiday Party             

Friday, December 18th from 1:30-2:25

We will be making blankets for Orangewood Children’s Home while we enjoy some treats.  Please join us if you like!

We are asking for a donation of $7 to cover the cost of the materials for the blankets as well as food for the party. Thank you!

Family Fun Night – Western Round-Up

The 2015 Family Fun Night Committee Presents.

FFN 2015



 As many of you know, Family Fun Night is just around the bend and is scheduled for Friday, October 30th, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The evening will be filled with fun and exciting games, lots of prizes, and the ‘oh so popular Goldfish Fishin’ Hole, Cakewalk, Music, Family Photos and Raffle Baskets, This is an event you don’t want to miss!!

In order to make it all happen, The Family Fun Night Committee needs more than 200 volunteers to help-out with the fun. Ms. Meehans class will be hosting the Golf game booth from 3:50 pm to 5:10 pm.  We need at least two volunteers for a 40-45 minute shift each or one volunteer for the entire shift.  We also need to provide one volunteer for set-up from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and one volunteer for clean-up from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
